Donatella Versace and H and M Launch Party

Besides LOVING the new Versace and H and M collaboration, I expressed my recent opinions/ concerns here.

The launch party was held at Pier 57, Manhattan, where a plethora of celebrities, fashion writers, editors and models gathered for the release of the new high street collection. Nicki Minaj kicked off the festivities by screaming 'Who's ready to f**king party?" at the crowd.

The collection officially goes on sale worldwide next Thursday. I'm really excited about seeing these piece in real life and will be heading down to my local mall, possibly to spend all of my hard earned cash on a new Versace for H and M outfit.

Here are some photograph's from the evening.

Back to Black Fashion

I like black. It's mysterious, thought provoking, simple, elegant yet sexy. I've been wearing a hell of a lot of it lately, specifically a black dresses paired with black tights, black trench coats, black brogues and a ring on almost every finger. No, I'm not an emo. I guess you could say my recent adoration for black clothing and the fact I dress to express correlate with my down emotional state, though (don't worry, I'm not planning on killing myself yet).

I think black is just a grown up colour - I'm by no means grown up yet - I'm only 20 years old after all, but every young woman goes through that transitional period in her life.

Personal statement aside, I thought I'd share with you a few of my fave black pieces that I came across recently. The following are especially representative of what I'm wearing at the moment.

Versace for H and M?

So, I hear H and M are collaborating with Donatella Versace. I was rather baffled at the prospect as H and M tends to be a more budget fashion choice. Is Versace not going to be a little high priced for H and M's usual custom? Or maybe they're marketing towards a new, 'higher class' audience? I'm interested to see how this will turn out.

In my opinion, the Versace for H and M collection looks very hopeful. There are a few pieces which I absolutely love! Here are a few of my favourites:

What do you think about the new collaboration between Versace and H and M? Will you be checking out the new line?
